Len Leonard
Len Leonard (b. Leonard Carparelli, Jr.22 August , 1950) is a musician, songwriter and guitarist originally from the New York area.
As a professional session musician, working extensively at the Record Plant and the Hit Factory, he has worked on recording sessions with such artists as Joe "King" Carrasco, Ellie Greenwich, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks, Janna Allen, Tom Petersson from Cheap Trick, Pegi and Astrid Young, and many others.
However, he is most well known as the lead guitarist for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and recorded their last CD before Butterfield's untimely death in 1986. In that last incarnation of the PBBB, the line-up also included Paul Shaffer and Anton Fig from the David Letterman Band, and Blondie Chaplin, (who is now touring with The Rolling Stones).
Leonard was also a member of the California band 'Desberardo' in 1988-89 (formerly 'Sleeper') and with that outfit, he co-wrote songs with Four Seasons producer Bob Crewe and "Green Eyed Lady" vocalist Jerry Corbetta of Sugarloaf.
